Many major strategic failures do not stem from a lack of data or analytical inability; rather, they originate from a group's inability to engage in honest dialogue. The organization somewhat understands the issue but cannot lay its understanding directly and unreservedly on the table. In such a situation, decisions may appear orderly, logical, and even consensual on the surface; however, at their core, they stand on a shaky foundation.
