Thousands of devotees of the Household of Purity and Innocence gathered near the martyr leader's site, Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei, to participate in the Hosseini Sham al-Ghariban mourning ceremony. This ceremony, organized by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, featured a speech by Hojjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Tabatabai-Nejad, who cited Quranic verses and stated that the duty of the warriors on God's path is to stand firm against the enemies of God, to trust in God's power and help, to observe divine boundaries, maintain unity, avoid disputes and discord, and to be patient in hardship. He said: Strong faith in God's power fosters a spirit of resistance, just as the faithful Iranian nation stood against great powers and defeated them by relying on their faith. The ceremony also included recitations of the Du'a Tawassul by Mr. Mehdi Samavati and elegies and mourning songs by Mr. Mohammadreza Bazri.
