How Do Oil Spills Kill the Sea?

Oil spills are not just a dark image on the water; they are one of the most destructive forms of marine pollution that can impact coastal and marine ecosystems for years. Now, as the Director General of the Office for Investigation and Combat of Marine Pollution at the Environmental Protection Organization has reported the use of satellite imagery to identify oil spills and also the preparation of a pollution atlas for the Makran coasts, attention has been drawn again to one of the most significant environmental threats in the southern waters of Iran.
