Torchlight procession of the Iraqi community in Dowlatabad; an enduring ritual during Muharram mourning

On the night of Tasua of Hosseini, the traditional torchlight procession of the Iraqis residing in Dowlatabad, Tehran, was held with the passionate presence of mourners; a spiritual ceremony in which the lit torches symbolized the devotion and loyalty of the lovers of Ahl al-Bayt (the family of the Prophet) to Imam Aba Abdillah al-Hussain and his loyal companions in Karbala.
