Following an attack on a ship near the Strait of Hormuz, the United Nations maritime regulatory body announced on Thursday that the operation to evacuate hundreds of stranded ships and thousands of seafarers through the Strait of Hormuz would be temporarily suspended. The attack coincided with Marco Rubio's visit to Bahrain, Kuwait, and the UAE, and also occurred hours after the Revolutionary Guard Navy warned that ships should only pass through designated routes and in coordination with this country through the Strait of Hormuz.
